So today I address a very important question Do we really need a period if childbearing is over or not required? Every now and then I see a client who is sick of her period cycle and wants to get rid of it simply because it’s too inconvenient, painful, unpredictable, unmanageable or simply annoying. Last week a friend called me telling how tired she is with the adenomyosis pain and wants to get rid of the uterus aka HYSTERECTOMY SURGERY. She says that childbearing is complete and none of the hormonal methods are suiting her, simply driving her crazy. And this lady is in her early 40s, younger than me! And before I could get over that, another client told me that her teenage daughter is so sick of her periods that she wants to get rid of her cycles and if required uterus! This really breaks my heart and I thought it’s time to do this post…. And I understand that, I have been there also …but now after having fallen in love with my period cycle , I feel really sad to see young women ready to do anything, go under the knife, sacrifice their uterus to get some relief from their periods. At one point in time I also absolutely hated my cycle and wanted to get rid of it….in fact I always viewed my cycle as a liability. Till I could heal my relationship with my cycle and get my life back !

While This Mentality Is common and one I participated In myself for the better part of my life ,it puts us in a victim consciousness, as if something is happening to us and we don’t have any control over it…but nothing could be further from the truth. You actually have much more control over your periods and fertility than you were made to believe! By Understanding What’s happening during each phase of our cycle with our Hormones, we become empowered to have habits that not only improve our physical health, but also uplevels you on mental, emotional and spiritual levels.

Not only this knowledge important for avoiding annoying period symptoms like cramps, irregularities and PMS, But It’s crucial for boosting fertility and preparing your body for a healthy pregnancy.

Health is your birthright and I believe every single women should have an access to this information so that they can feel good all month long and can make better choices with sustainable solutions instead of suffering through life, masking one problem and creating another one.

I know everyone now and then one article will come in the media, claiming that there’s no reason for modern-day women to have a period and that we would actually be better off and healthier if we didn’t bleed on a monthly basis, or that it would simply be convenient! There are pills which can be taken continuously to skip bleeding indefinitely.

Definitely it’s very smart as human species to bio-hack the system and make life convenient, but it doesn’t mean it’s necessarily good for our long term health. Of course there are condition s where this may be medically indicated and it’s a personal choice, but I just want to make you aware that what if there is a better way… Nature is infinitely more intelligent than we are and gave us the gift of our menstrual cycle as a way to protect our long-term health. ⁣⁣⁣interfering with the intelligent design of female body comes with real side effects and health dangers. Ovulation and menstruation play an important role in safeguarding our health for decades to come and protecting us from heart disease, osteoporosis, breast disease and Alzheimer’s. Our menstrual cycle is critical to our overall health and well-being so much so that the #AmericanCollegeofObstetriciansandGynecologists has stated that menstruation is the fifth vital sign, just as important as pulse, temperature, respiratory rate and blood pressure.⁣

A period that is regular and pain free is as important as other vital parameters.
